Aseltine Visits Volcan to Plant Trees!
On January 22nd, 14 students from the Aseltine School in San Diego visited the Volcan Mountain Foundation's Sky Island Trail to plant some 20 Black Oak Seedlings. They each named their trees because that which is loved tends to be protected.
It was a beautiful day to be on the mountain! At the top the views were stunning and the students ate lunch while taking in the view toward their home in the south-west. While we were there, we saw large animal tracks of the dog and cat family, as well as numerous deer tracks. A good day was had by all.
Thank you to Aseltine Angel, Priscilla Webb, for introducing us to this happy band of students! Great energy!
