Santa Ysabel East Back Trails Hike, Saturday, May 13th, 2017, 9am-1pm
Saturday, May 13th at 9:00 am join San Diego County Parks Attendant, Bill Augustus on a hike through some of the back trails of the Santa Ysabel East Preserve. Hike among the old-growth oaks and sycamores in a normally closed section of this beautiful preserve that you don't usually get to see. Spring flowers will line the trail along Santa Ysabel Creek on this moderate 7-mile hike. Dogs are welcome but they need to be on a leash. The hike will last 3 or 4 hours.
This hike will include an elevation gain and loss of approximately 500 feet in 1/2 mile. Please dress in layers as the temperature will vary throughout the hike. Wear sturdy hiking shoes; bring plenty of water and a snack for the trail. Meet at 9:00 am at the Santa Ysabel East Staging area at the north end of Farmer Road, 114-117 Farmer Road, Julian CA 92036.
